Who Are We?

Safe Harbour is a new and innovative service funded by the Big Lottery Fund to support the people of Inverclyde. We enable people to improve their emotional wellbeing by improving aspects such as self esteem and self worth, as well as improving coping skills in relation to difficulties in life.

You can read more about the support that we can offer in the 'What We Do' section.

We are the only alternative service outside of statutory services that provides and challenges Emotional Poverty and social disadvantage by improving self esteem, emotional resilience and confidence. Safe Harbour helps to reduce barriers to those on the edges of our communities.

Our gritty informal approach has had great results so far. We encounter anything from psycho-sexual issues to depression, child abuse, phobias, anxiety, stress, domestic abuse, PTSD, bereavement, separation anxiety and much more. Many of our clients will not engage with statutory services for these types of issues.

We want our clients to feel part of and participate fully in the communities that they live. This will help them to live more fulfilling and active lives on all levels, enabling them to have the opportunity to thrive.
