Our service started out as "The Phoenix Community Health Project". PCHP offered services such as Men's Health and Steps to Excellence, changing direction over three years ago to offer the emotional support programme 'Safe Harbour'.
Over the past few years, the service has undergone a restructure and rebranding, leading to the decision to change the name of our service in August 2017 to SAFE HARBOUR INVERCLYDE.
We feel that the new name better represents the work done by the service, with Safe linking to the environment that we wish to create for our clients, and Harbour linking to the local history of the Inverclyde area.
The Safe Harbour model was developed by our Chief Executive Officer, Duncan Shaw. You can read more about Safe Harbour and what is involved in the 'About Us' and 'What We Do' sections.
Safe Harbour was awarded funding by the big lottery fund in December 2015 to continue the service for a further five years.
